Instituted 1899. In silver, full size, rim impressed “Private. D.A.Kay Paris R.Co.”, worn on replacement ribbon with FENIAN RAID 1866 clasp, minor wear, lovely patina, in extremely fine condition.
Footnote: Sergeant David A. Kay served with the Paris Rifle Company from 1867 to 1874. The 38th Battalion records state he was “always ready for service.” He lived on St. John Street in Hamilton, Ontario, and served under Lt Col. Paton.
