(Георгиевский крест). Instituted in 1807. In silver, unmarked, German-manufactured, as awarded to German troops, the reverse number engraved "32" and "116" on the reverse of the arms at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock respectively, measuring 34.7 mm (w) x 39.5 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, the arms with a dark patina, exhibiting light contact and tarnishing overall, sewn in place to an original period ribbon, better than very fine.

 

Footnote: The Cross of St. George was instituted on February 13, 1807 and awarded for courage in battle, initially in one grade, and later, as of 1856, in four grades.
