Germany, Imperial. A Bust of Kaiser Wilhelm II

(Büste von Kaiser Wilhelm II). Constructed of a patinated bronze alloy, consisting of an exceptionally detailed bust of Kaiser Wilhelm II, depicted in an elaborate mantle and with decorations including the Order of the Black Eagle and the House Order of Hohenzollern, situated atop a lacquered black pedestal, the obverse of which is inset with a gilded German State Crown, with a blackened non-magnetic metal stabilizer riveted to the reverse of the base, the reverse of the bust maker marked with an etched inscription which appears to read “AKTIEN-GESELLSCHAFT VORM. H. GLADENO & SOHN”, measuring 17 cm (w) x 14 cm (l) x 37.5 cm (h) (inclusive of all features), demonstrating minor loss of finish to the base metal of the bust, a striking example in extremely fine condition.
