Germany, NSKK. A Crash Helmet Eagle Insignia, Second Pattern, by Ferdinand Wagner

Constructed of aluminum, the obverse consisting of a NSKK-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the latter on a pebbled black background, topped by a stylized black banner bearing raised silver initials “NSKK”, the reverse with three sets of dual attachment prongs, maker marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code “M1/8” for Ferdinand Wagner, Pforzheim, measuring 185 mm (w) x 92 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
