(Bronzene Medaille für Lebensrettung VI. Form). Instituted 18 May 1831 by King Anton and Regent Friedrich August. (1905-1918 issue). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised rightward-facing profile of King Friedrich August III, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse bearing a central inscription of “FÜR LEBENS-RETTUNG” (“FOR RESCUE OF LIFE”), within a circular oak leaf wreath, unmarked, measuring 35.48 mm in diameter, weighing 21.6 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in better than very fine condition.
