(Abzeichen). A pair of First World War patriotic badges, including:

1. An Iron Cross badge, constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, the obverse consisting of a back enameled 1914 Iron Cross, with the central monogram displaced by a silvered inscription of “EINIG UND TREU” (“UNITED AND LOYAL”), the reverse with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 28 mm (w) x 28 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.

2. An Imperial tri-colour badge, constructed of silvered and gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of an irregular oval field executed in red, white, and black enamels, overlaid by an raised Imperial War Flag, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 35 mm (w) x 21 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
