Germany, Feuerschutzpolizei. An Enlisted Ranks Overseas Cap

(Feuerschutzpolizei Schiffchen). A well-preserved Feuerschutzpolize Enlisted ranks cap, constructed of dark navy blue wool. It is fully surrounded by side walls which are scalloped toward the front, and securely stitched in place along the upper theme with carefully-applied machine embroidery. Stitched onto the right side of the crown is an insignia consisting of a dark navy blue rayon backer bearing a machine-embroidered silver-grey Ordnungspolizei insignia in the form of a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, overlaying an oval oak leaf wreath. The interior is fully encompassed by a black cotton/rayon-blended liner. Unmarked, the cap measures approximately 28.5 cm (l) x 11 cm (h) when folded on a flat surface. Demonstrating only minor wear to the interior liner, it is in an overall extremely fine condition.
