Hungary, Kingdom. An Order of Merit, Knight’s Cross

Constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a Cross Pattée with white enameled arms, the obverse with a central medallion bearing a raised Patriarchal Cross on a ribbed background, inside of green enameled laurel wreath, the reverse plain, the twelve o’clock arm with an integral loop and suspension ring connecting to a period original tri-fold ribbon, unmarked, measuring 42.30 mm (w) x 45.37 mm (w), weighing 23.7 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in near extremely fine condition.
