(Dienstauszeichnung der Polizei, I.Stufe für 25 Jahre mit Etui). Instituted 30 January 1938. (1938-1944 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central raised Ordnungspolizei insignia in the form of an oval oak leaf wreath overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central oval medallion overlaid by a raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IN DER POLIZEI” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE POLICE”), unmarked, measuring 43.12 mm (w) x 47.89 mm (h), weighing 25.6 grams (inclusive of ribbon), accompanied by its original presentation case, constructed of a light wooden frame with a faux green leather exterior liner, the lid bearing an embossed and gilded number “25” situated within an oak leaf wreath, the interior with a white rayon lid liner and slotted grey velvet medal bed, closing with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, unmarked, measuring 50 mm (w) x 104 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), the case demonstrates moderate material fatigue while the award presents in a near mint condition.
