Constructed of silver, the obverse bearing a raised bust of Hugo Eckner in exceptional detail, flanked by name and title, the reverse bearing a raised depiction of Zeppelin Z. 12 (LZ-26) in mid-flight against a coastal background, topped by title and a date of “1924”, above a list detailing key locations and dates on the airship’s journey from Europe to its final destination of Lakehurst, New Jersey, the reverse maker marked “L. CHR. LAUER, NÜRNBERG”, the edge marked with a silver content number of “990”, measuring 33.44 mm in diameter, weighing 14.5 grams, in extremely fine condition.
