Germany, Imperial. An Imperial German Army Drum Hanger

(Trommelschere). Constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of a crowned German national eagle clutching a bar from which two curved hooks emanate, with a swivel hinge and loop affixed to the eagle's head and left wing, connecting to an original black leather strap with dual non-functional magnetic metal snap buttons, the reverse of the eagle's tail bearing an illegible maker's mark, measuring 80 mm (w) x 105 mm (h), with minor oxidation and material fatigue evident to the eagle and strap, respectively, in very fine condition.
