A lot of awards and photographs from a sailor in wartime U-Boat service, including a U-Boat War Badge, constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, topped by a German State Crown, overlaid by a U-Boat on a hollow background, the reverse with a barrel hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 48.96 mm (w) x 47.67 mm (h), weighing 27.4 grams, the pinback and catch have been replaced and repaired, in very fine condition; a U-Boat War Badge miniature stick pin, constructed of bronze, the reverse bearing an unidentified maker’s mark, measuring 17 mm (w) x 15 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; a ribbon bar featuring four decorations, including a 1914 Iron Cross II Class, a Schaumburg-Lippe Silver Merit Medal, an Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918, and a Long Service Medal, set on a 120 mm-long zink bar with a horizontal pinback and grey wool reverse liner, unmarked, in near extremely fine condition; a U-9 veteran’s stick pin, constructed of partially blackened and gilded magnetic metal, unmarked, measuring 25 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition; a small photo album, constructed of a card stock binding with 23 paper stock interior pages, the cover bearing a black and silver cardboard 1914 Iron Cross, the interior of the cover bearing a handwritten inscription indicating that the owner of the album served aboard U-23 in 1917, the pages with grooves accommodating 31 wartime photographs and postcards, some of the latter duplicated, with loosening of some of the pages and postcards, measuring approximately 210 mm (w) x 132 mm (h), with additional material fatigue evident throughout, in very fine condition, and; a group photo depicting Werft-Division (Harbour Division) personnel, set on a card stock backer, unmarked, measuring 225 mm (w) x 155 mm (h), with wear and fatigue evident, in fair condition.
