(Орден Святого Станислава, 2-я степень). Instituted in 1765. Type II (1856-1917). Of French manufacture, in silver gilt, a red enamelled Maltese cross with ball finials and fanned arches in each knee, crossed swords through the center of the cross, with superimposed double headed eagle on top of each sword section between the arms, the obverse medallion features a hand painted red monogram of Saint Stanislaus, set within a circular laurel leaf wreath highlighted in green enamels, the reverse features the medallion belonging to the Order of St. Anne, an incorrect but period centerpiece, set within a circular laurel leaf wreath highlighted in green enamels, the twelve o’clock arm topped by an integral loop and suspension ring, measures 61.45mm (w) x 64.60mm (h), weighs 42.7 grams, small chip to 12 o’clock arm at knee, loss of gilt, dark patina, remains in very fine condition.
