Germany, NSKK. A 1935 Group Hesse Vogelsberg Cross-Country Trip Commemorative Plaque

(Motorgruppe Hessen Geländefahrt Erinnerungsplakette). Constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a central blue enameled irregular hexagonal field overlaid by a finely-detailed red and white enameled Hesse lion clutching a gilt coat of arms, above gilt initials “NSKK”, circumscribed by a raised inscription of VOGELSBERG GELÄNDEFAHRT 1939 - MOTOR-GRUPPE HESSEN”, the reverse with a missing attachment apparatus and obscured Frankfurt maker’s mark, measuring 100 mm (w) x 85 mm (h), in very fine condition.
