14k gold. Blue and white enamel with gold tree in centre medallion, bearing “National Society- Daughters of the American Colonists” on obverse. Reverse bearing “Harriet Vaughn Rigdon” and “J.E.C & co.” Makers mark. Suspension crest with blue enamel with gold acorn and leaves. Suspended from gold pinback bearing “Indiana”. Original Ribbon.  Measuring at 26.63mm (w) x 41.48mm (h) (to top of suspension crest). Weighing at 10.5 grams.

Robert Elliott II, in their text American Society Medals- An Identification Guide this society was founded in 1920 and to gain membership one must have a direct lineage to a relative who gave civil or military service in the 13 colonies before July 4, 1776.
