Of local manufacture, a black-enamelled Maltese cross in silver gilt, with obverse centre presenting a silver Estonian Eagle clutching a sword and a blue-enamelled Estonian coat of arms, reverse centre with institution date of 24 II 1928, with motto Pro Patria (For Fatherland) splitting on arms, measuring 53.92 mm (w) x 54.37 mm (h), with elongated ornate suspension loop, suspended by original neck ribbon with catches in the ends, presenting completely lost of gilt, otherwise very fine. Accompanied by a corrugated red case with strong structure, with functioning push button and catch, interior composed of white silk and cotton white bed, with adhered maker’s label of ROMAN TAVAST of Tallin, measuring 107.12 mm (w) x 136.50 mm (l) x 32.40 mm (w), presenting minor wear surfaces, overall extremely fine.
