(NSKK Feldmütze). An extremely well-preserved NSKK field cap, constructed of black wool twill. The cap is fully surrounded by fold-down side panelling, tightly scalloped at the front in accordance with second pattern regulations instituted in 1939. The left side of the crown bears an insignia in the form of a light blue triangle, overlaid by a silver aluminum wire NSKK insignia, measuring 45 mm (w) x 45 mm (h). The light blue insignia was utilized by both Motorgruppe Hochland and Motorgruppe Bayerische Ostmark. Completing the exterior features are two central pebbled buttons, one of which is constructed of zink and the other of magnetic metal. A black rayon liner fully encompasses the interior, bearing a silvered size stamp of “57”. The cap is otherwise unmarked and measures approximately 288 mm (l) w 125 mm (h) when folded. One of the exterior buttons has been replaced with a period correct piece, but the cap is in an overall extremely fine condition.
