Germany, Luftwaffe. An EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle, by Dransfeld & Co.

(Luftwaffe Gürtelschnalle für Mannschaften). Constructed of aluminum, the obverse bearing a central raised Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, set within an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, the latter retaining an original brown leather strap bearing an embossed manufacture date of “1936”, circumscribed by a maker’s mark of “DRANSFELD & CO, MENDEN”, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
