(Abzeichen und Insignien). A mixed lot of seven badges and insignia, including:

 

1. A Black Grade Wound Badge, constructed of blackened magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a clip hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 36.85 mm (w) x 44.38 mm (h), weighing 11.7 grams, demonstrating loss of finish and minor surface oxidation throughout, in fair condition.

 

2. A Silver Grade Wound Badge, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, featuring a central circular depression bearing a maker’s mark in the form of LDO code “L24” for Fritz Zimmermann, Stuttgart, measuring 37.27 mm (w) x 44.44 mm (h), weighing 15.0 grams, demonstrating minor loss of finish with some oxidation, in very fine condition.

 

3. A Sturmabteilung (SA) Sports Badge, Bronze Grade, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, surrounding a mobile swastika overlaid by a sword, the reverse with an integral hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked “BERG & NOLTE, LÜDENSCHEID”, measuring 45.12 mm (w) x 58.23 mm (h), weighing 17.0 grams, in very fine condition.

 

4. A 1934 HJ Jugendfest badge, constructed of porcelain, vertical pinback, measuring 18 mm (w) x 30 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.

 

5. A 1936 SA-Gruppe Nordsee (SA Group North Sea) event badge, constructed of aluminum, vertical pinback, the reverse maker marked “BRUNO MULDE, BREMEN”, measuring 34 mm (w) x 46 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.

 

6. An NSDAP member’s armband, constructed of red cotton, the exterior bearing a white cotton disc overlaid by a multi-piece black mobile swastika, the interior retaining a fully-intact Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) label, measuring 18 cm (w) x 10 cm (h), demonstrating minor soiling, in near extremely fine condition.

 

7. A Reichsbahn Official’s collar tab, constructed of black rayon with a buckram core, trimmed with golden-yellow piping, the obverse bearing a central machine-embroidered golden-yellow mobile swastika, set within an oak leaf wreath and topped by a Reichsbahn insignia, unmarked, measuring 48 mm (w) x 64 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.

 

8. Accompanied by a mixed group of five stamps and currency, in overall very fine condition.
