Cuba, Socialist Republic. A Rare Set of Military Academy Graduation Badges

A rare set of Cuban military academy graduation badges, including a Revolutionary Armed Forces Academy badge, constructed of silver with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a white enameled diamond within a silvered frame, overlaid by a red enameled five-pointed star, in turn bearing a gilt coat of arms of the Republic of Cuba, the reverse with a screw and backplate, unmarked but with physical evidence of Soviet manufacture, measuring 30 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in extremely fine condition, and; a Revolutionary Armed Forces Higher Education Institute badge, constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a blue enameled polygon within a gilt frame, overlaid by a red enameled five-pointed star, in turn bearing a gilt coat of arms of the Republic of Cuba, the reverse with a screw and backplate, maker marked “ЛЕНИНГРАДСКИЙ МОНЕТНЫЙ ДВОР” for the Leningrad Mint, measuring 30 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
