Germany, Heer. A Dagger Hanger, by F.W. Assmann & Söhne

(Dolch Gehänge). A Heer-issued dagger hanger, consisting of dual field-grey doeskin straps, each topped on the obverse with silver aluminum wire tresses, adjusted with a functional silvered zink buckle presenting as an oval oak leaf wreath, and culminating in a functional zink alloy spring clip, in turn suspended from loops of identical construction emanating from a single central loop for uniform attachment, the spring clips each maker marked on the reverse with the logo of F.W. Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid, measuring 26 cm in length as presented, the zink alloy elements demonstrating loss of finish and minor oxidation, in overall very fine condition.
