Japan, Empire. An Order of the Rising Sun, VI Class with Case

Institution date 1875. A sixth class Order of the Rising Sun in silver with red glass center and enamels, multi piece construction, reverse with Japanese characters, measuring at 44.3mm (w) x 70.5mm (h- to top of suspension), on period ribbon, weighing at 34.6 grams, in original case of issue, in extremely fine condition.
