There two two shoulder pips, the first the British Army’s Queen’s Crown PIP denoting the rank of Major, and the a Order of Bath styled should pip with the Latin “Tria Juncta In Uno” (translation: Three joined in one) referencing the unification between England, Scotland and Ireland. The buttons are from the British Expeditionary Forces, denoting the RAMC title. They have the Staff of Asclepius surrounded by a laurel wreath on each of them- reinforcing the representation of medicine.
