A silver Latin cross with black and white enameled arms, the obverse with a red enameled Geneva cross on a white field, surrounded by a black ring of enamels, inscribed “ORDO TEUT HUMANITATI” in capital lettering, the reverse with a similar white field, dated “1871”, surrounded by a ring of black enamels, on a loop for suspension from its period original neck ribbon, measuring at 43.7mm (w) x57.6mm (h) and weighing at 27.0 grams, in overall better than very fine condition.
