Footnote: The opening of the Olympic art exhibition took place in Berlin on July 31, 1936. Belgian Count Henri de Baillet-Latour (1876–1942) was president of the International Olympic Committee. Dr. Theodor Lewald (1860–1947) was the president of the Olympic organising committee for the 1936 Summer Olympics.
