Fabricated from wool with no interior lining, with two large pockets and a belt with a metal belt buckle, reverse of jacket with large hole cut out with different colour fabric insert (to provide an easy target in case of escape and to prevent the wearer from turning the jacket into a civilian coat), interior with black ink stamp and sew in Prices Tailors Ltd. maker’s mark, material fatigue consistent with use and with minor soiling; worn by a German POW in a British camp, measured flat at 46cm (shoulder to shoulder) x 62cm (shoulder to cuff) x 54.5cm (collar to base), fine.
