Germany, NSDAP. A Golden Party Badge, Small Version, by Deschler & Sohn

(Goldenes Ehrenzeichen der NSDAP). Constructed of gilded tombak with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, around a white enameled disc bearing a central black enameled mobile swastika, within a ring of red enamel bearing a gilt inscription of “NATIONAL-SOZIALISTISCHE D.A.P.” (“NATIONAL SOCIALIST GERMAN WORKERS’ PARTY”), the reverse with a horizontal pinback, maker marked “DESCHLER, MÜNCHEN”, stamped with award number “38856” for an unidentified recipient, measuring 23.80 mm in diameter, weighing 7.3 grams, with some flecking visible to the enamels, in extremely fine condition.
