Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, around a central Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse with a ball hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, measuring 42.25 mm (w) x 53.58 mm (h), weighing 27.9 grams, demonstrating moderate loss of finish throughout, in better than very fine condition.
