Yugoslavia, Kingdom. An  Air Force Aircrew Badge

Badge in die struck solid silver, with visible gold remnants, numbered on reverse “448”, hallmarked, with screwback on reverse bearing “"Sorlini, Varaždin” measuring approximately 38mm (w) x 51mm (h), in extremely fine condition.

Footnote: This is an aircrew badge (showing all activities other than flying.) This intricate badge dates from the 1930's. The badge features a central balloon bag with the Yugoslav shield and winged prop and engine. These are flanked by lighting bolts and bombs.
