(Insignien). A mixed lot of four insignia, including:

 

1. A Waffen-Dirlewanger Brigade collar tab, constructed of black wool with a buckram core, the obverse bearing machine-embroidered silver-grey crossed rifles, situated above a stick grenade, unmarked, measuring 40 mm (w) x 58 mm (l), in extremely fine condition.

 

2. A 21st Waffen Mountain Division of the SS Skanderbeg collar tab, constructed of black wool with a buckram core, the obverse bearing a machine-embroidered silver-grey Skanderbeg helmet, unmarked, measuring 40 mm (w) x 55 mm (l), demonstrating a patch of wear or mothing to the obverse lower edge, in very fine condition.

 

3. An Organisation Todt (OT) sleeve rank insignia, constructed of an olive-drab cotton/rayon blend, the obverse bearing a machine-embroidered red OT insignia situated above a red rayon tresse, unmarked, measuring 95 mm (w) x 55 mm (h), in near mint condition.

 

4. A Finnish 1941-1942 Northern Front Cross, constructed of silvered and gilded tombak with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a Cross Pattée with blue enameled arms, with the arms of a mobile swastika visible in the quadrants, the obverse with a white enameled medallion with multi-coloured Finnish and NSDAP-style German flags with a central Finnish coat of arms, along with dates of “1941-42” and inscription of “POHJOISRINTAMA - DIE NORDFRONT”, the arms of the swastika with raised inscriptions of “PETSAMO”, “SALLA”, “UHTUA”, “KIESTINKI”, the reverse maker marked “HOPEATAKOMO”, measuring 34.70 mm (w) x 34.48 mm (h), weighing 17.6 grams, demonstrating loss of finish to the base metal, in near extremely fine condition.
