(Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuz mit Eichenlaub und Etui). Constructed of iron and neusilber, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed neusilber frame, the obverse bearing three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm bearing a reinstitution date of “1939”, the reverse six o’clock arm bearing an initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm topped by an integral loop connecting to an oak leaf clasp with malleable reverse attachment prongs, the latter retaining an original neck ribbon, unmarked, measuring 48.16 mm (w) x 54.11 mm (h), the clasp measuring 20.15 mm (w) x 19.88 mm (h), weighing 37.2 grams (inclusive of ribbon), accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a wooden frame with a faux black leather exterior liner, the interior with a padded white rayon lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a depressed black felt medal bed, unmarked, measuring 75 mm (w) x 148 mm (l) x 28 mm (h), the ribbon has been stitched and demonstrates some fading and the case’s spring clip no longer locks, in overall near extremely fine condition.
