Germany, Heer. A Krim Shield for Panzer Troops

(Krimschild für Panzertruppe). Constructed of a bronzed alloy, the obverse consisitng of a shield bearing a raised map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates “1941-1942”, affixed with all four reverse attachment prongs to a magnetic metal backplate with a black wool liner and intact black paper stock backer, the shield measuring 52.05 mm (w) x 62.03 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
