Germany, Luftwaffe. A Jagdgeschwader 6 Commemorative Plaque

(Jagdgeschwader 6 “Horst Wessel” Plakette). Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse bearing a raised German national eagle clutching a Sturmabteilung (SA) insignia, circumscribed by an inscription of “JAGDGESCHWADER HORST WESSEL”, the reverse bearing a central raised inscription of “TREUE UM TREUE” (“LOYALTY BEGETS LOYALTY”), situated within a circular oak leaf wreath, unmarked, measuring 80 mm in diameter and retaining an origins wax paper issue package, in extremely fine condition.
