Germany, Luftwaffe. A Navigator’s Watch, Type A

(Luftwaffe Beobachtungs-Uhr). A well-preserved Luftwaffe navigator’s watch, type A, constructed of a rounded non-magnetic metal case, the obverse featuring a black face featuring numerals 1-12 (the latter substituted with a triangle) graded at intervals of five with second notches, all highlighted with fully-intact luminous paint, featuring hour, minute, and second hands, covered by an intact transparent plastic crystal, flanked on the right by a functional wind-up dial, the reverse bearing a mark of “RLM NAV B-UHR 1507”, the edge bearing a design number of “FL 23883”, with double loops retains a fully-intact replacement suede strap, the face measuring 55 mm in diameter, with only minor scratching and loss of paint visible to the crystal and case, respectively, a functional exemple in near mint fine condition.
