Germany, Imperial. A Flyer’s Commemorative Badge

(Flieger-Erinnerungsabzeichen). Constructed of silver, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a German State Crown, overlaid by a German national eagle in mid-flight, situated over a cut-out background and above a landscape, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, stamped with a silver content number of “835”, measuring 45.30 mm (w) x 71.62 mm (h), weighing 30.3 grams, demonstrating sporadic verdigris, in extremely fine condition.
