(Ordem do Mérito Aeronáutico). Instituted in 1943. In silver gilt with blue, white, yellow and green enamels, measuring 61.3 mm (w) x 75.5 mm (h), ornate suspension loop, intact enamels, contact marks evident on the reverse centrepiece, without neck ribbon, near extremely fine.

Footnote: The Order of Aeronautical Merit was instituted on November 1, 1943 by President Getúlio Vargas and was awarded for distinguished service and exceptional contributions to the Brazilian Air Force, in five grades: Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight.
