France, III Republic. A Miniature Legion of Honour in Gold & Diamonds, c.1900

(Legion D'Honneur). Instituted1802. In multi piece construction of silver with a gold center, featuring a Maltese cross with six rose cut diamonds and silver ball finals, with a green enamelled laurel suspension, measuring at 17.5mm (w) x 28.0 (h- to top of suspension), and weighing at 3.8 grams, light contact to enamels on obverse, in extremely fine condition.
