France; Order of the Legion of Honour, Second Empire (1852-1870) (Gold with red, blue, white and green enamels, 14.2 mm (w) x 22 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension); and Order of Academic Palms, Type III (1866-1855) (Gold with violet enamels, 9.5 mm (w) x 15 mm (h)). Both orders mounted to a Gold chain with dual strands of wheat links, 21.5 mm stickpins on either end, weighing 4.6 grams. Intact enamels, extremely fine.
