A miniature medal chain for a Boxer Rebellion veteran with postwar police service, featuring six decorations of zink and bronze construction, the latter with gilt and silver finish where applicable, including a Bavarian Luitpold Cross for 40 Years of State Service, a rare Golden Military Merit Medal, a China Medal for Non-Combatants, a Merit Cross for War Aid, a Bavarian Landwehr Long Service Award II Class, and an Ordnungspolizei 8-Year Long Service Award, all suspended from 110 mm-long silvered bronze chain which completes in one end with a needle and at the opposite end with a button, unmarked, a superb example in extremely fine condition.
