(Orden narodnog heroja). Instituted in 1942. In bronze with a gold-coloured gilt, measuring 444mm (w) x 59 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, on its full-length neck ribbon, extremely fine.

Footnote: This Order was the fifth highest state decoration. It was conferred upon Yugoslav citizens, factories, collectives, mines, sports teams, etc. in recognition of exceptional achievement. The Order could be awarded to foreigners and posthumously. The Order has been awarded 121 times prior to its dissolution in 1987.
