Germany, NSDAP. A Rare Gau Wartheland Honour Badge, Small Version

(Gau-Ehrenzeichen Wartheland Miniatur). Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a date of “1939”, in turn topped by a raised plow and sword, all surrounding a detailed NSDAP-style German national eagle perched on top of a wreathed swastika, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 22.75 mm (w) x 22.70 mm (h), weighing 7.1 grams, demonstrating some bending of the pinback, a scarce badge in extremely fine condition.
