$2,751
(Waffen-SS Wendetarnhemd M42 in Eichenlaubmuster). A rare and extremely well-preserved Waffen-SS M42 camouflage smock, constructed of a weather-hardened cotton/rayon-blended material. The exterior is dyed in a classic Oak Leaf “A” pattern camouflage with a mottle consisting of a predominantly washed-out brown base overlaid by irregular splotches of light and dark green with well-defined edges for use in summer conditions. The reverse is dyed in an autumn pattern consisting of a washed-out brown base overlaid by irregular splotches of light brown interspersed with black. A vertical slit descends approximately halfway down from the neck and is flanked by ten reinforced eyelets retaining an original drawstring for tight closure. The shoulders are topped by three sets of six narrow loops for the addition of camouflage vegetation. Six additional loops are set into the backs of the necks. Both the wrists and waistband are elasticized for maximum functionality in the field. Dual pockets are set into the lower half, both closed with scalloped horizontal flaps perforated with reinforced buttonholes meeting pebbled magnetic metal buttons. All of these features are double-sided for efficient seasonal conversion. Unmarked, the smock measures approximately 55 cm across the shoulders, with an arm length of 64 cm, and an overall body length of 80 cm when folded on a flat surface. Demonstrating only minor, age-appropriate material fatigue, this scarce smock remains in an extremely fine condition.
