Austrian, Republic. A Rainerbund-Gebirgsjäger Salzburg Banner Commemorating Infantry Regiment 59

A Rainerbund banner constructed of green paper, bearing the insignia for Infantry Regiment 59, presenting the words RAINERBUND-GEBIRGSJÄGER SALZBURG, with silver aluminum wire decorating the bottom edge, attached by four staples, measuring 17.8 cm (w) x 71.7 cm (h), and in good condition.

Footnote: The Rainerbund Salzburg, an organization of the friends of the K.u.K. Infanterieregiments Erzherzog Rainer No. 59, was founded in 1920 by former members of the regiment. The goal of the association was the cultivation of camaraderie and the establishment of the Rainer Regimental Museum on the fortress Hohensalzburg.
