Canadian Army Medical Corps; 10K Gold, weighing 7.0 grams inclusive of its chain, maker marked and marked "10K" (Gold) on the reverse, obverse engraved in large capitals "EDITH. M. YORK. N.S." above the Canadian Medical Corps insignia, reverse engraved in capitals "C.A.M.C. / C OF E.", 23.8 mm x 42.5 mm, on a full-length wrist chain with sliding closure on the ring, very light contact, extremely fine.

Footnote: Nursing Sister Edith Martha York is acknowledged as having served with the Canadian Army Medical Corps during the First World War, however, no paperwork exists on the Library and Archives Canada website. 2,854 women served with the Canadian Army Medical Corps during the five years of the war, several hundred others with other forces.
