Germany, Imperial; Germany, Third Reich. A Mixed Lot of Miniature Decorations

(Miniaturen). A mixed lot of four miniature decorations, including:

1. An SS 8-Year Long Service Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised swastika with ribbed arms, overlaid by central wreathed double Sig runes, the reverse bearing a raised number “8”, overlaid by an inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IN DER SS” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE SS”), unmarked, measuring 15.56 mm in diameter, in near mint condition.

2. An Honour Cross of the German Mother, Silver Grade, constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original bow tie-style ribbon with horizontal pinback, consisting of a Latin Cross with its arms joined through the quadrants by stylized rays, the obverse with blue and white enameled arms, bearing a central white enameled disc overlaid by a black swastika, circumscribed by a raised inscription of “DER DEUTSCHEN MUTTER” (“TO THE GERMAN MOTHER”), the reverse bearing an etched institution date of “16. DEZEMBER 1938” and a signature of the Führer, maker marked with LDO code “L/60” or Gustav Brehmer, Markneukirchen, measuring 16.17 mm (w) x 21.36 mm (h), in near mint condition.

3. A 1914 Dual Alliance cross, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original tri-fold ribbon, unmarked, measuring 25.22 mm (w) x 27.65 mm (h), in very fine condition.

4. A Dual Alliance medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 18.81 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.
