Germany, Third Reich. A Lufthansa Faithful Service Badge

(Lufthansa Abzeichen). Constructed of gilded bronze with enamels, the obverse consisting of a German national eagle overlaid by a black mobile swastika and clutching an enameled Lufthansa insignia in its talons, the reverse with a boutonniere-style attachment, stamped with an issue number of “2719”, measuring 22.55 mm (w) x 21.18 mm (h), demonstrating minor chipping to the twelve o’clock position of the enameled disc, with additional moderate loss of gilt finish, in better than very fine condition.
