A scarce Kriegsmarine stopwatch, constructed of a nickel-plated non-magnetic metal casing, the face consisting of a white disc, with intervals notched in seconds and graded in units of twenty from 0-60, with the lower half inset by an additional 0-60 stopwatch, retaining an intact glass face, the reverse featuring a removable cover which opens to revals intact mechanisms marked with movement information and a serial number, the cover stamped with German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika above a letter “M” indicating Kriegsmarine issue, with an additional issue number, topped by a ribbed wind-up dial and loop, the face maker marked “A. SCHUCHMANN, WILHELMSHAVEN”, measuring 70 mm in total diameter, the watch is non-functional and the reverse plate no longer locks in place, a rare example of a timepiece most commonly used for the timing of torpedoes and other naval weaponry in very fine condition.
