Germany, Imperial. A U-Boat War Badge, with Miniature

(U-Boot-Kriegsabzeichen mit Anstecknadel). Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, topped by a German State Crown from which ribbons emanate on both sides, overlaid by a central U-Boat over a cut-out background, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 49.86 mm (w) x 48.24 mm (h), weighing 8.9 grams, in extremely fine condition, accompanied by a stick pin miniature, constructed of gilded bronze, of identical appearance, unmarked, measuring 16.92 mm (w) x 14.90 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
