Germany, Luftwaffe. A Short-Range Day Fighter Clasp, Silver Grade, by G.H. Osang

(Frontflugspange für Jagdverbände). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a central circular laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a swastika, overlaid by an upward-pointing winged arrow constructed of magnetic metal, flanked on each side by nine oak leaves, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked “G.H. OSANG, DRESDEN”, measuring 76.72 mm (w) x 26.03 mm (h), weighing 17.0 grams, most of the silver finish has been lost, in overall better than very fine condition.
