Germany, Heer. A Reichswehr-Style EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle

(Heer Gürtelschnalle für Mannschaften). Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse bearing a central raised Reichswehr-style German national eagle, set within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD WITH US”) with laurel leaf branches, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, the latter retaining an original brown leather strap stamped with the partially-legible maker’s mark of a Lüdenscheid-based firm, with a date of “1934”, and with a partially-legible unit mark, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
